(IS)

Menntaskóli í Tónlist is an upper secondary school founded by Tónlistarskólinn í Reykjavík and Tónlistarskóli FÍH. The school opened in the autumn of 2017 and offers studies in both rhythmic music, jazz, pop and rock music, and classical music. Students are given the opportunity to complete a matriculation examination with music as their main subject, but the school is also intended for those who study at other upper secondary schools and want to pursue interesting music studies at the upper secondary level.

Menntaskóli í Tónlist strives to create a fruitful and diverse environment for promising music students from all over the country, where they receive a good and interesting education in music performance, music creation and music disciplines.

Students from Menntaskóli í Tónlist, perform and interpret in music and sounds Guðlaug Mía Eyþórsdóttir’s work, Variations, which is shown in the exhibition / CREATION / DESTRUCTION / in the Living Art Museum.
