Grzegorz Łoznikow

Grzegorz Łoznikow is an artist from Poland, currently based in Reykjavik, Iceland. He participates in festivals, exhibits internationally in galleries, and has been active in street art since 2008.

In 2010 Grzegorz participated in a scholarship at Tianjin Academy of Fine Art in China where the political system inspired him to focus on ideology and history in visual arts. Under that influence, he created murals and video art in Hutong districts. After returning to Poland he worked on the ‘German Olympic, 1936’ cycle. That collage series became his main project and was exhibited at f/stop, Westpol AIR Space, Leipzig (Germany), The Recontres d’Arles, Arles (France), Circulations Festival in Paris (France) and Lookout Gallery in Warsaw (Poland). After moving to Reykjavik in 2016 his main focus goes to street art constructions made from recycled materials in public space or landscape interactions such as snow sculptures with ‘Winter Constructions’ series as a result. From 2020 when he become a member of Myndhoggvarafelagid (Reykjavik Association of Sculptures) where metal started to be one of he’s major material to work with.
