Agnes Ársældsóttir

Agnes Ársælsdóttir (b. 1996) works with radical affection in her works, exploring man’s relationship with its environment and other species. She graduated BA from Iceland University of the Arts in 2018 and later that year she started her internship with Gérald Kurdian in Paris. This summer, Agnes worked on radio sketches Samlíf (Cohabitation) for Channel 1 with Sylvía Dröfn Jónsdóttir. The project was sponsored by the Icelandic Design Fund.

Among recent group exhibitions are Lost and Found in Midpunkt, UKYA Take Over in Nottingham and Stálsmiðjan, curated by Tara Njála Ingvarsdóttir and Silfrún Una Guðlaugsdóttir.

Agnes has also participated in the international group project United 1, run by UK Young Artists and Platform Nord, stayed in-residence at In Context in Slănic, Romania, and curated the exhibition Go! in The Nordic House along with Anna Andrea Winther.
