Sequences celebrates a three year collaboration contract with the City of Reykjavik

From the opening of Daybreak, Forever, 2.0, by Ragnar Helgi Ólafsson. The work was installed in a tiny space on the harbour on the occasion of the 10 year anniversary of Sequences in 2016. The work was open 24/7 for 365 days.

The City of Reykjavik has announced their annual support to cultural activities and we celebrate a renewal of a collaborative support contract for the coming three years. The support is valuable for Sequences and allows the responsibles of the festival to make longer term plans. As ever, Sequences aims to be a field for experiments and to produce and present progressive visual art.

We are thankful for the gift of living in a city that supports diverse and independent cultural initiatives.  A formal announcement and reception were hosted in Iðnó yesterday. Here is a list of those who receive support this year, and contracts in the coming three years.

Preparation for the tenth Sequences festival is already underway and it will open in autumn 2021.
