No thud, nothing changes, only the back gets embedded in the bottom. Nothing and everything is moving in gluey oil, fingers poking around in dark sand, wiggling like tiny worms exploring vast darkness, to nowhere and everywhere. Open eyes, gaze floating around silent eternity, everywhere, nowhere, streaks of light pushes through the surface in the distance above. The light is dancing with promises of something beautiful, something that long ago was so near, something that’s never going to be.
