5 minutes. Always only 5 minutes until. Abundance in the restraints of a cycle,  overflow of everything only 5 minutes away. Just arrived, almost there. Always only 5 minutes until.

I move away in abundance. Instead of being an efficient vessel for construction,  who receives and delivers right away, I undergo the current. A rushing stream of ideas, a plethora of abundance all that is and can be imagined, becoming a kind of apathy. Numbness. Not indifferent, on the contrary. Full of consciousness and intention, but numb. Like in the movies.

Today’s race manifests in the symbol of infinity, gets tighter with every step and is measured in time and space.

Gunnar Jónsson (b. 1988) was born in Reykjavík, Iceland, but moved to his hometown Ísafjörður shortly after. He attended the Icelandic Academy of Arts from 2009 to 2012, prior to that he took a preparatory year in Reykjavík School of Visual arts. He has participated in numerous exhibitions in Iceland and abroad. He is a member of the artist-run Gallerí Úthverfa/Outvert Art Space in Ísafjörður, Iceland. He currently lives and works in Ísafjörður, Iceland.
