Performance and Visual Artist / Soundscape / Radio Activist
Creator of multi-media installations and radio shows under the name of Holy Rock.
Helga’s practise has been focused on breaking the waves within the visual-sound and practical world. Finding inspiration with sailors she has been travelling the North Atlantic Ocean onboard international cargo ship and around the coasts of Iceland on a lifeboat creating a radio-station on sea.
Mixing multiple visual and textural substances and sounds, she is encouraged by old traditional art and music, nature, urban noisy sounds and heavy metal banging creating a finely tuned blend.
She currently lives and works in Reykjavík and UK.
