Dagrún Aðalsteinsdóttir explains her art as a way to expand or to dissolve the self and the body as it transforms or morphs with another.  Her performances are some done live in front of an audience while others are more like installations for video or photograph. Some of the live performances are a collaboration work with other artist. The performances which are done for photography and video are not photoshopped but strictly done physically. Dagrúns imagery is all collage work where she uses found images and work both in drawings and paintings.

Dagrún received a BA from the Iceland Academy of the Arts in 2013. She currently lives and works in Singapore.

Dagrún graduated in the year 2016 with M.A degree in Fine Art from LASALLE College of the Arts in Singapore, a partner institute with Goldsmiths University in London. Dagrún works in collaboration with artists in Europe, Africa and Asia, organizing and curating projects in collaboration with contemporary art institutions as well as artist run spaces.
