Beatrice Pediconi is drawn to the gravity-defiying world of water. In her art she brings together painting, performance and photography. In a performative process she apply different substances, from bronze to oil paint and cream, to the surface of water, and then capturing the fast changing formations using photography and video. The artist’s technique is a mixture of chance and control which results in fascinating and mysterious landscapes. The photographic work is analogic using a large format view camera and without digital manipulation.
Pediconi is currently based in New York.
